I haven’t drawn one of my girls in such a long time! But this time it’s me haha. I hate drawing feet or shoes. :(

Shit Bears Say; Character Sketches || Tran Ngo 2012
Initial Charlie the Chocolate covered Honey Bear, Charlie Bear and Charlotte.
Initially the storyboard/script was different. I had thoughts about making a failed advertisement for the magic candy land, a place were all chocolate covered sweets and desserts lived, a fun fun place. Charlie would’ve been the king trying to record his own ad and Charlotte would be the annoying little kid of the land, walking in on him making his ad and asking ridiculous questions. But things didn’t really hit off with that script so I decided to rewrite. I started watching cartoon bear clips on youtube and thought that’s cute! and came up with the idea of making a parody of Shit Girls Say. I decided to keep Charlotte as the non-bear character and made her a male counter partner. The other two bears didn’t have sketches as I just based them off my animatic. But they were mocks of Winne the Pooh and Care Bears.
Have you seen my honey?
Meet Charlie Bear.
He’s just your slightly awkward everyday cartoon bear with an Irish accent.
Will he ever get his hand on some honey? Who knows.
Why are there chocolate strawberries in a bear video? Who cares.
One thing is for sure though, this is the shit that bears say.

Got sick of animating, so I whipped out my tools and started painting.
It was so therapeutic!

Currently waiting for my animation to finish converting on Vimeo. Who knew that a 30 second animation would take well over an hour to upload and convert?!
